Gbetsile chief laments poor roads, urges residents to step in as government delays

The Chief of Gbetsile in the Kpone Katamanso Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, Nii Teye Kojo Amankwa Sune I, has urged the people of Gbetsile to come together and financially support the construction of deplorable roads in the area.

He expressed disappointment in the government’s delay in addressing the issue and called for collective action to fix the bad roads.

During the annual thanksgiving service at Gbetsile, the Chief highlighted the negative effects of the poor road conditions on the community and emphasized the urgent need for collaboration to address the issue.

He also appealed to the central government to expedite plans to fix the roads and called on all stakeholders to support the community in alleviating the challenges caused by the bad roads.

Additionally, the Chief outlined plans to construct classrooms for the existing public school and establish other public schools in surrounding suburbs.

He also assured the community members that the land earmarked for the construction of a market has been cleared and construction will commence soon.

The Chief extended an invitation to all notable natives of the community to join the Gbetsile development train for a better society. Traditional authorities, politicians, the clergy, their congregations, and individuals in and around Gbetsile attended the 2023 annual thanksgiving service.
