Carrying the Load: Kayayei in Ghana — Peace Corps Ghana — Documentary

The goal of this documentary is to create greater understanding of the Kayayei phenomenon; acting as an educational tool, and a means for creating dialogue within Ghana. Most importantly this film is intended to equip the individuals and families directly involved in Kayayei with information that will allow them to make better-informed decisions about their futures.

Carrying the Load is a documentary produced by Peace Corps Volunteers in Ghana. The film is translated into five Ghanaian languages that are most widely understood the Northern and Southern regions: Mampruli, Dogbani, Frafra, Twi, and Dagaare.
