Since so many underprivileged children are not part of the education system, how do they catch up?
The answer lies in programs like REACH Project. The five year project aims to enroll 90,000 boys and girls, ages eight to 16, in 34 of the most disadvantaged districts across Ghana in gender-responsive, inclusive and locally adapted complementary basic education.
In only its second year, it has already reached over 800 communities and enrolled 29,664 children in CBE classes. The project has supported the transition of 6,768 CBE graduates to formal primary school.
