Ireva Songstress Search to unearth female gospel talents – Citi Showbiz

The maiden edition of the first ever social media reality show in Ghana, Ireva Songstress Search, has been launched at the Tomreik Hotel, East Legon in Accra.

The 100% social media based reality show in Ghana, was launched live on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

The screening and auditions will as well, stream live on these social media handles and their YouTube Channel.

ISS’ mission is to develop interest and passion among young Ghanaian ladies in gospel music and to further its cultural role in society.

Maiden audition will select the top 20 female vocalists by a jury at the preliminary stage. The Second audition will select the top 3 by a jury. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd runner ups will receive prizes.

The winner would have the following opportunities: Album/Songs Recording Contract, Cash Prize, Publicity and Promotions and Other giveaways.

There will be grooming sessions with industry experts (Producer, Sound Engineer, Digital Marketing, Voice Coaches, Grooming Coach, Musician and Video Director).

Unlike other music reality shows, where the judges only criticise the contestants’ performances, on ISS, the Technical Advisor to the jury, “mentors” the finalists in a particular category, aiding them with song selection and styling, while also participating together in judging the contestants in the other categories.

The Ireva Songstress Search (ISS) was conceived out of the tragic death of a young choral music vocalist by name Ellen White, a Seventh-day Adventist. Before her demise, she had sent a distress message on facebook to Franky5, the founder of ISS, seeking assistance to record her music compositions with Nacee (A sound engineer), for which she needed help from Franky5 to make it a reality.

Unfortunately, Franky5 could not read the message before the lady died. This brought him that wake-up call, to institute this scheme to search for the many “Ellen Whites” out there needs this same help.

Registration available as well on the official page of the search, and an MTN Mobile Money number 0555930300 is attached for sale of the forms.
