The Reigning HighLife Song Of The Year Artist, Kidi has revealed that as it stands now, he will never join the most prestigious record label in Ghana now, Zylofon Media even if they are offering to sign him for 2 million dollars.
Zylofon, since they started operations in Ghana less than 2 years ago, has signed some of the most popular and expensive artists in Ghana including Becca, Stonebwoy and the self-acclaimed Dancehall King Shatta Wale.
But Kidi says he will never join them if they offer a deal as juicy 2 million dollars because his current record label, Richie Mensah’s Lynx Entertainment feels more like a home he won’t find anywhere.
He made these revelations on the late Night Celebrity Show. Kidi further revealed that he keeps his award in his bedroom so that he can draw inspiration from it each day.
Kidi won the Highlife Song of the year award with his hit song “Odo” at the recently held 19th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Speaking about his mentors, Kidi spoke about his love for the living legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu known in showbiz as Daddy Lumba. He ended by saying he hopes to do a collaboration with Daddy Lumba soon.
