Biography of AJ Nelson
Yaw Agyei Nelson, popularly known as AJ Nelson is a hip hop artiste who is a fast rising act on the Ghanaian rap scene.

Nelson’s appeal to music fans is primarily because of his fusion of the Bono language in his songs.
In the age of Fante rap (led by the Kofi Kinaata and Pappy Kojo) and Ewe rap (Edem), AJ has risen to become a fan favourite of Bono speakers. Some of his well-known songs include “Same Girl”, “Faith” and “Power to the People”, the latter which was part of a campaign of the same name.
The aim of the campaign is to encourage the youth to speak up against the ills in society such as corruption and mismanagement.
The campaign enjoyed a lot of support from other well know Ghanaians including Kofi Tsikata, Communications Director at the World Bank (Ghana Office) and singer, Wiyaala; who featured on the campaign’s song.
He has featured Jay Ghartey on one of his most popular songs, “Faith” and supported Okyeame Kwame and Sarkodie on various projects.
The 31 year old, who studied web and graphic design, tied the knot with Sally Bakah in November 2015.
