Kempinski opens up sustainability-focused café

Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel, known for its luxury 5-star experience, has introduced a European-style Café and Bakery called Café George and Bakery.

This initiative is designed to cater to walk-in customers and hotel residents, offering a perfect view of the lush palms and water fountain. The idea came about due to the overwhelming feedback from bakery consumers who expressed a desire for fresh bakery items and more hospitable services beyond the hotel environment.

The focus of Café George and Bakery is to enhance the overall culinary experience by expanding and diversifying the menu, introducing seasonal specials, and offering the option to order fresh bread, pastries, and cakes for celebrations. This initiative is in alignment with Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel’s broader commitment to positively contribute to the environment.

Floriencia Arias, the Restaurant Manager for Kempinski, stressed the importance of taking positive feedback from customers and making conscious efforts to improve services, thereby adding value to Café George and Bakery. The idea is to provide a sustainable food production environment, minimizing food waste, and providing an attractive package for guests.

Melissa Bediako, the Director of Sales and Marketing at Kempinski, also highlighted the hotel’s focus on creating more customer food and beverage experiences and forming partnerships with corporate bodies to improve people’s lives in society. She mentioned that the hotel is renowned for its rooms and spa and salon services, and will continue to focus on guest experience and creating lasting memories for guests.
