Renowned Yoruba Nollywood actor, Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, popularly known as Sisi Quadri, has passed away, according to reports from his colleagues in the industry.

Oyebamiji had recently celebrated his 44th birthday on December 25, 2023, before his untimely demise.

Nollywood actress, Abiola Bayo, took to her verified Instagram account to express her condolences, saying, “You will be greatly missed, Sisi Quadri. May your soul rest in perfect peace.”

Another actor, Tunde Yusuf, shared a heartfelt message on social media, highlighting the transient nature of life and offering prayers for the late Sisi Quadri.

Regina Chukwu, while mourning the late actor, revealed that Oyebamiji had been battling for his life in recent days. She also mentioned that she had trained under him as a make-up artist on set for years.

Sisi Quadri was best known for his role in the movie “Seniyan Seranko,” which was released on December 4, 2004.

The talented actor was also set to delight audiences in the upcoming film “Anikulapo: The Return of Spectre,” which was scheduled for release in cinemas across the country but has now been released on Netflix.

Reflecting on his journey to stardom, Oyebamiji shared with The PUNCH in 2023 how he got introduced to acting by his dad’s elder brother and mentor, Toyin Olaiya (Alaga council). He emphasized his passion for education and the support he received from key figures in the industry.

Speaking about his unique style of delivering insults in movie scenes, the late actor attributed it to his upbringing and innate talent, saying, “The way I act in movies is the way I behave normally.”
