Police begin probe into death of 47-year-old man at Ashaiman

The Ghana Police Service has commenced an investigation into the death of a 47-year-old male adult in Ashaiman, Greater Accra Region. The deceased, identified as Eric Baidoo, a trader, was reportedly stabbed by an assailant who is currently evading capture, on Thursday, February 15, 2024.

Subsequently, the body of the deceased has been transferred to the Police Hospital morgue for preservation and further examination through an autopsy. On February 16, 2024, the Tema Regional Police Commander led a police delegation to offer condolences to the family of the deceased, assuring them of a comprehensive investigation into the matter.

Additionally, an intelligence-led operation is underway to apprehend the perpetrator(s) and ensure they face legal consequences. This tragic incident has prompted the Ghana Police Service to spring into action, promising the family of the deceased and the public at large that justice will be served. The police remain committed to bringing the perpetrator(s) to book and ensuring that the law takes its course.
