Tabitha, a concerned Ghanaian, has raised objections to a controversial piece of music by Obour, a musician turned politician.

The song in question, “Aboa Konkontiba,” has come under scrutiny for allegedly promoting relationships between older men and underage girls.

Obour, who previously served as the President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), gained popularity with hits like “Aboa Konkontiba” that topped music charts and earned him accolades at the Ghana Music Awards.

However, the lyrics of this particular song have now sparked a debate over its implications on society.

Tabitha expressed her dismay, pointing out that songs like “Aboa Konkontiba” contribute to normalizing pedophilia in the community. She urged for a discussion on this issue, emphasizing the need to address and challenge such harmful behaviors.

Furthermore, the ongoing investigation into the alleged marriage between 63-year-old Ga priest Nuumo Borketey Laweh XXXIII and Naa Yoomo Ayemuede has added fuel to the controversy. While the Chieftaincy Minister clarified that it was a traditional rite and not a legal marriage, concerns remain surrounding the nature of the relationship.

Rev Dr Daniel Nii Gyasi Ankrah, the Director of Administration at the Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse, reassured the public that there was no inappropriate relationship or marriage involved in the situation. He clarified that Naa Yoomo is well taken care of and attends a prestigious school with a chauffeur for transportation.
