Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, are facing a hefty financial penalty of $500,000 after failing to respond to an assault lawsuit.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, the couple has been hit with a default judgment of $503,318.02 in L.A. County Superior Court.

The lawsuit stems from an incident involving a security guard named Thomas Weidenmuller, who sued Minaj and Petty for $753,000 in 2022. The alleged assault took place during a performance on the Nicki World Tour in Frankfurt, Germany, in 2019.

Weidenmuller claimed that a fan breached a security barricade and made their way onstage during Minaj’s performance.

After the fan was escorted off the stage, Minaj and Petty reportedly confronted Weidenmuller and the security team. The situation escalated, with Minaj allegedly using derogatory language towards a female security guard and criticizing her on social media.

Weidenmuller further alleged that Petty physically assaulted him by punching him in the face, while Minaj encouraged the attack. The lawsuit includes charges of battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligence.

Despite the legal troubles, the couple continues to share content on social media for their fans. Petty recently showcased his rapping skills by reciting lyrics from Minaj’s track “Pink Birthday” during a livestream.

The couple’s ongoing legal battle does not seem to have dampened their enthusiasm for engaging with their followers.

While Minaj and Petty navigate this legal challenge, fans are eagerly awaiting more updates on their social media platforms.
