Veteran actor Eddie Driscoll, known for his roles on “Mad Men,” “Entourage,” “This Is Us” and “Sex and the City,” has passed away at the age of 60 after battling stomach cancer.

His death on December 15 in Los Angeles was due to a saddle pulmonary embolism, as reported by fellow actor Jimmy Palumbo to The Hollywood Reporter.

Driscoll studied acting at the University of Miami and apprenticed at the Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Theatre in North Palm Beach, Florida.

He went on to appear in projects with Reynolds, such as “Physical Evidence” and “Breaking In” in 1989, as well as in TV shows like “B.L. Stryker” and “Evening Shade” in the ’90s.

His acting career extended to several hit shows like “Desperate Housewives,” “Days of Our Lives,” “Heroes,” “24,” “CSI: Miami,” and “The King of Queens,” along with films like “Lansky,” “Boat Trip” and “Cellular.”

He also portrayed Angelo “Gyp” DeCarlo in “Jersey Boys” during the West Coast tour of the musical.

Aside from his acting ventures, Driscoll worked as a host at the now-closed bar Dimples in Burbank, California, for over two decades.

A life celebration was held at Fox Fire Room in January, where Driscoll used to work. He is survived by his brother, Danny.

A saddle pulmonary embolism, the cause of Driscoll’s death, is a life-threatening condition. His contributions to the entertainment industry and the memories he leaves behind will continue to be cherished by his fans and colleagues.
