Grace Amey-Obeng urges Ghanaian youth to leverage technology to create self-employment

Mrs. Grace Amey-Obeng, the Chief Executive Officer of Forever Clear, has emphasized the importance of technology in creating self-employment opportunities for the youth. During the 71st anniversary celebrations of Keta Senior High School in the Volta Region, she highlighted the significance of leveraging technology to combat the escalating unemployment rate in the country.

According to Mrs. Amey-Obeng, the job market is continually evolving, and it is essential for the younger generation to equip themselves with the necessary skills to adapt and succeed. She encouraged the youth to explore the diverse opportunities that technology offers to become self-employed and potentially even excel in the tech industry.

The event also served as a platform to discuss strategies for enhancing the school’s performance and achieving academic excellence. The Headmaster of Keta Senior High School, Innocent August, pointed out challenges such as overcrowding in dormitories, dining halls, and classrooms that require urgent attention.

Stakeholders, including the Volta Regional Director of Education, Francis Agbamadi, emphasized the importance of focusing on STEM education to prepare students for the technological world. Dr. Stanislaus Adiaba, the President of the KETASCO Old Students Association, pledged support towards improving the school’s infrastructure, starting with upgrading the kitchen facilities.

Additionally, the induction of the 2014 year batch into the KETASCO Old Students Association marked a significant milestone in the school’s history. The collective efforts of stakeholders and alumni aim to enhance the learning environment and empower students with the skills needed to thrive in today’s dynamic job market.
