Marvel Studios has finally unveiled the main cast of the Fantastic Four!
The feature will include Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn as the heroes.
Pedro Pascal will be playing Reed Richard/Mr. Fantastic, while Vanessa Kirby will star as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn will play her brother Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, and Moss-Bachrach will portray Ben Grimm/The Thing.
The cast has been finalized after years of speculation. The film, directed by Matt Shakman, is set to his theaters on July 25, 2025. The film will be written by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer, with Josh Friedman working on the latest version.
The movie created a buzz from avid fans who have been eagerly waiting for the reveal of the cast. The reason for the delay in the release, originally scheduled for early May, is due to the late finalization of the cast. The film has a significant release date as Marvel plans to launch ‘Fantastic Four’ on the prime May weekend, the beginning of the summer box office season. This movie will essentially swap dates with the anti-hero centric Thunderbolts, which will now release in theaters on May 5.
‘Fantastic Four’ has been highly anticipated, mirrored by the fact that Marvel’s earlier film iterations failed to do justice to the superhero team. Nevertheless, under Matt Shakman and a new cast, the film seems to be set for a promising reboot.
The film marks the arrival of the Fantastic Four into the MCU soon after Disney acquired its rival, Fox. Marvel’s main spotlight films such as ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ (Feb. 14) and ‘Blade’ (Nov. 7) will also remain unaffected.
This news was confirmed through Marvel’s Instagram on Valentine’s Day’ on posing the new release date and title – (it was previously known as The Fantastic Four). Fans around the world have been awaiting the release and announcement with its well-anticipated cast and fresh take on Marvel superheroes.
