The popular Ghanaian Gospel group, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, has made a difficult decision to cancel its Glorious Praise event at Kwahu due to the recent passing of one of its patrons, Kwabena Kwakye.

Kwabena Kwakye, a cousin to the sisters of the group, Cynthia and Edna, tragically passed away in February after falling ill at work and being rushed to the University of Ghana Medical Centre.

Kwabena Kwakye was not only a patron of the music trio but also a beloved family member to Cynthia Appiadu, the lead singer of the group.

The loss of Kwakye has deeply affected the group, with Cynthia Appiadu describing his passing as a “huge blow” during an appearance on TV3’s New Day on March 20.

Despite this heartbreaking loss, Daughters of Glorious Jesus will continue with their Accra and Kumasi editions of Glorious Praise, scheduled for March 24 and April 14 respectively.

Glorious Praise is an annual worship and song ministration event organised by the group to bring joy and inspiration to their fans and patrons.
