Legendary Beach Boys singer, Brian Wilson, 81, is reportedly suffering from dementia. The sad revelation was made in a recent court filing which stated that the music icon was suffering from a “major neurocognitive disorder such as dementia.”

According to Wilson’s family, two family representatives – LeeAnn Hard and Jean Sievers – will serve as his co-conservators. They stated that the decision was made after the passing of Wilson’s wife, Melinda Ledbetter, last month, to ensure that the household does not undergo extreme changes and that Wilson and his children living at the house will be taken care of by the house team led by Gloria Ramos.

The family confirmed this in a statement on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Wilson’s diagnosis comes amid the news of his return to music, with a planned release of a new album in 2025. In 1970, he had begun working on a country album, which was later shelved; however, the project has been revived and will feature Wilson on guest vocals.

When Wilson’s wife passed in January, he shared an emotional message about his loss on Twitter, expressing his love and admiration for her.
