Amazon honors Usher for achievements on and off the stage

Local, regional, state, and national dignitaries recently came together to pay tribute to the iconic American singer Usher at an event sponsored by Amazon.

Usher was being honored for the 25th anniversary of his New Look Foundation at Clark Atlanta University. The event celebrated his musical achievements and his impactful humanitarian work.

During the event, Mayor Andre Dickens presented Usher with the Phoenix Award and he was also honored with a plaque on the Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame.

Terreta Rodgers, Head of Amazon’s Community Affairs and a CAU alumnus, commended Usher for his philanthropy and pledged $25,000 to support the New Look Foundation’s efforts.

The celebration also saw additional accolades from Fulton County Commissioner Natalie Hall and Georgia State Senator Sonya Halpern, who awarded Usher the “Outstanding Georgia Citizen” title.

The ceremony was a true testament to Usher’s influence and dedication to making a positive impact in the community.

His work with the New Look Foundation and his musical legacy were truly celebrated by all in attendance.

With the support of Amazon and various local and state officials, Usher’s commitment to philanthropy and humanitarianism was truly recognized and praised.
