The Central Regional Minister, Justina Marigold Assan, has stressed the need for Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the region to establish a reward system that will promote and motivate outstanding performances in their municipalities.

During the 2024 performance contract signing ceremony of MMDCEs and their respective Metropolitan, Municipal and District Co-ordinating Directors (MMDCDs), the Regional Minister emphasized the importance of a system of rewards and sanctions in order to create a culture of robust performance in their respective areas.

She encouraged them to review and customize indicators that will form the basis for rewards and sanctions. Additionally, she emphasized the need to appreciate hard work, creativity and collaboration, and to reinforce positive behaviors and outcomes within staff.

Furthermore, she urged them to learn from the failures of previous years, embrace feedback, demonstrate a willingness to improve, and exhibit resilience in the face of challenges. It was important to create a positive organizational culture that sees mistakes as opportunities for growth.

She also encouraged MMDCEs and MMDCDs to ensure a peaceful environment in their communities before, during and after the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.
