Due to the current weather conditions of increased dryness and dusty air across the country, the Ghana Garden and Flower Show (GGFS) scheduled for 14th to 18th February 2024 at the GHUD Park, Accra Mall has been canceled.
This decision comes following confirmation by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Meteorological Services of the severe weather, which has led to increased respiratory conditions and poses a threat to the health of the exhibited plants.
Sharon Anim, Stratcomm Africa Marketing Communication Manager, emphasized the need for urgent action against climate change. “The reason why we organize the show has now become the very reason why we are unable to organize it at this time. We all need to come together to spread the love for Mother Earth and save our own lives,” she said.
Although the special February edition of the GGFS has been canceled, Stratcomm Africa remains committed to promoting the environmental benefits of floriculture and horticulture. The organization continues to use every opportunity to deliver the Climate Action message and promote responsible stewardship of the environment.
Stratcomm Africa expressed gratitude to all partners, exhibitors, and the public for their understanding and continued support, and looks forward to welcoming everyone to the next Ghana Garden and Flower Show under safer and more favorable weather conditions. The organization is dedicated to building a Greener, Cleaner, Healthier, Wealthier, and More Beautiful Ghana.
