Pastor performs Shatta Wale’s ‘Taking Over’ in church [Video]

The Founder of Anointed Palace Chapel, Rev. Obofuor, has been seen performing Shatta Wale’s ‘Taking Over’ in a video.

In the video, the pastor and his junior pastors sing and dance to the song which won ‘Best Collaboration of the Year’ at the recently held Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

The video which is trending on social media has received criticism from people who think it is not right to perform a secular song in church.

It appears the pastor was using the title of the song to drive home a message to his congregation as he led a prayer session, before the instrumentalists joined in since he [ The pastor] started singing the chorus of the song.

Obofuor adds to Bishop Obinim of the International God’s Way Church, as pastors who perform secular songs during their service.
