MTN partners Fero phones provide 4G devices

MTN Ghana has begun partnerships aimed at increasing the use of 4G network in the country.

The telecom giant in 2015 secured a 4G license.  There have however been numerous consumer complaints about the high cost involved in using the 4G network.

In an interview with Citi Business News at a partnership deal with Fero phones, General Manager, Consumer Marketing for MTN Ghana, Noel Kojo Gamson said the partnership between MTN and Fero Phone Company will enable people to access the 4G network at an affordable price.

“With 4G in terms of technology it’s got to do with having the requisite devices in the hands of consumers to use and one of our ambitions is to ensure that we promote and we support the drive for the devices for our customers at large”, said Mr. Gamson.

He added that the affordability of the Fero L100 phone would result in its high patronage.

“We view this partnership as one of the solid partnerships we have come into to drive the growth of 4G devices so I think this will go a long way in the usage of 4G to the benefit of the Ghanaian society,” he added.

He spoke to Citi Business news at the sidelines of the launch of Fero L100 phone.

The Fero L100 is available at all MTN outlets for two hundred and ninety-nine Ghana cedis.
